We are about to close on our first home and David has been with us every step of the way.

With this being our first home purchase we had no idea what to expect and where to really start when applying for a mortgage. Within 24 hours of my first reaching out to him, David had scheduled and spent a couple of hours with us on a Saturday morning Zoom call to discuss everything...he walked through the process step by step.

When it came time to apply for the mortgage, David (and Sara) made it so simple for us. They provided a step by step checklist of what we needed to provide them and when they needed everything. If we had any questions or concerns about the process, he was one email, text or phone/video call away.

Being in our position, we were first-time-home-buyers so of course we had the excitement, but also a little nervousness--this was a huge milestone and a big financial investment for us. Nonetheless, Swanson not only took the time to educate us through the process, but also made it reassuring and fun for how overwhelming the situation can be.
Swanson and his team also kept us informed and up-to-date with constant communication—they are all very easy to contact and are timely with their responses as well. Not only is Swanson analytical and thorough with his numbers, but he and his team also take the time to personally get to know you! This better helped our situation because we were able to devise a plan that we could execute that would put us in the best position as possible. David helped me with the mortgage loan process when I purchased my first home. He is truly a trusted partner from the very start to closing (and even after, if there is an opportunity refinance in the future). David explained the process very clearly and was very communicative along the way. He even turned around offer letters within an hour when we needed them on a weekend evening. In dramatically changed times since the COVID shutdown and the yearly changes in housing, that can drive anyone crazy, you need strong people on your side. David was amazing to work with! We are so thankful we dropped working with Bank of America to work with him. We were pushed by our real estate agent to reach out after we had a terrible first time home buying experience with Bank of America and we didn’t realize how much we needed personalized attention. On our first call with David we knew how knowledgeable he was about everything. He answered all of our questions and supported us through the entire home buying process. After months of no success on buying a home David explained to us some different ways to become more attractive to sellers and we were able to remove a clause in our offers. The first home we put an offer on with that clause removed we got the house! David and Elaine worked so fast to get us through the closing process and we were able to move our closing date up and closed in just 3 weeks!!! To put icing on the cake David came to congratulate us at our closing and even our attorney commented on how rare it was to have someone like David! We loved working with him and recommend him and his team 1,000 times over to anyone looking to buy a home! My fiancé and I were recommended to use David Swanson over three years ago and I’m so glad we did. We are closing on our house today and the first text I wake up to is from David Swanson. This was our first time buying a home and I had no idea how the process worked. He was able to take the time to explain things to us. He also made videos for to watch through the process that made us smile and helped as well. He was always available when we needed him by text or phone call which my fiancé thought was impressive. He was able to meet with us in person, by phone or via zoom multi times to make sure we knew our price range when it came to choosing a house. But he also explained paperwork to us in detail throughout the process as well. He also had contacts for us to use from a home inspector to an attorney for the closing. I am glad David Swanson was there for us during this chapter of our lives. I highly recommend him to any friend, coworker or family member. Just purchased a home and obtained my mortgage through MSI. I worked with Dave Swanson and I cannot praise his work enough. Dave is self described as having the heart of a teacher and that is a perfect description. When I first met with Dave, my credit score was in the 500's and I couldn't get a bank to loan me a breath mint. Dave sat with me and explained how to improve my credit and how to get myself to the place where I could buy. I followed what he said exactly and have just purchased the perfect house. Not only is Dave knowledgeable in his own field, but he has a wealth of connections in related fields too. As a first time home buyer, having to figure out getting a lawyer, inspector, agent it's all overwhelming but Dave has high quality contacts and will point you in the right direction. While we were initially shopping around for lenders, we were bombarded with emails of documents with so many words and numbers that we didn't understand, and the support people were unreachable when these documents were sent. The second we called MSIMortgage, on a Sunday morning, David was warm and welcoming and kept us on the phone while he sent his documents to us AND took the time to explain every word and number on every page to us in plain language.
